But at the same time there’s no good reason not to start with any of the far better games we’ve already named-dropped and which BonusXP have so carefully mined for ideas. Since it is cheap, and relatively easy, this is a decent starting point for those new to the genre. Final Fantasy Tactics was hugely inventive for the time and just doing the same thing with a TV licence slapped on top achieves nothing. But it suffers from the same central problem, of trying to copy the look and feel of classic games without ever really understanding what made them great in the first place. I really enjoyed the series and the history behind this one.
Although any that involve getting characters from one end of a map to the other quickly become tedious, considering how long it takes to get anywhere.
